On June 8th, CLUB INTERNATIONAL invited employees of its member companies as well as their families to discover Graz from its Mediterranean side.
With magnificient sunshine the day started at half past 9 with the appointment at Schlossberg funicular. Italians, Croatians, Indonesians, French and English people used this stylish way to get to the top of the landmark.
After a breath-taking view over Graz, underpinned with thrilling details by the Graz guide, participants were invited to discover the innards of the clock tower. Passing the Venezian Garden and other Mediterranean plants, we descended Schlossberg and reached Karmeliterplatz where the fountain provided pleasant cooling.
Thanks to the flexibility of the whole group, we were able to make a slight detour to the cathedral and the mausoleum, before “Bermuda Triangle” was explored. 36 bars and restaurants impressed participants as well as hidden courtyards that still have the original paving of the old city.
The last way led us through Franciscan quarter and ended at Citybeach besides river Mur. Here it was possible to rest the tired feet in warm sand after 2 1/2 hours of discovering Graz. Non-Alcoholic punch and fresh fruits catered for the needful cooling.
Thus, an all around successful forenoon could have an easy-going final.
